BsAs 2009 - Muchos gracias

Aha! It took me long enough to figure it out, but apparently if they say "muchos gracias" at the end of the tanda, it means they really liked dancing with you. I feel like a dumb ass for taking two weeks to figure this out... ;)

Damn. Too bad it is not Muchos gracias. This would have been a nice secret codigo. Muchos gracias for a nice dance, muchas gracias to be polite with the gringo.

Don't they say this ALWAYS at the end of a tanda: Whether it was crap or amazing, as a way of rounding off and saying that's the end?

No, they will say always say "Gracias", not "muchas gracias"

I am getting a Muchissimas Gracias each time I have the exact change when buying something in BsAs.

well I get muchas gracias 90% of the time - and I know for sure my dance is not amazing!

We always say, "gracias" or "muchas gracias" it doesn't matter which one we say, we say it to be polite. It has nothing to do with whether or not we enjoyed the dance with you.

Fine, I'm sure they were all just being polite. Because I, who was there, could not have possibly been able to tell who enjoyed the dance very much, and who would not.

What do I know, I'm just a gringo (well, I really am not, but whatever makes you folks feel better).

Sorin,

If a woman has a smile on her face at the end of a tanda with you, neither of you has to say a word. The feeling is mutual. You know when it was good for her, because it was good for you.

Look for the sparkle in the eye... that's more accurate than any adjective ;)
